I've got thirteen thousand six hundred sixty six
Reasons for wantin' you
And that low-cut dress
Well I have to confess
You know it caused a sinful thought or two
I've got thirteen thousand six hundred sixty six
Reasons for wanting you
Now it's courage in a shot
And now ready or not
I'm gonna find out what I can do
I've got thirteen thousand six hundred sixty six
Reasons for wanting you
But you're here for the band
Not a one night stand
You left me standing there like a fool
I've got thirteen thousand six hundred sixty six
Reasons for wantin' you
And I'll be thinkin' evil thoughts
About your low-cut dress
Long after this night is through
Yeah I'll be thinkin' evil thoughts
About that low-cut dress
Long after this night is through

Cold Machine

Cold Machine - © 2009 Ernest Benoit
Well she pulled into town
Like somethin out of a dream
Sittin' at the wheel of a cold machine
Well it was low and black
The chrome so polished it gleamed
That rumblin 4-5-4 sounded downright mean
It was a cold machine
Baby drives a cold machine
It was a cold machine
My baby's ride is a cold machine
Well every jaw hit the street as she drove on by
To this very day I'm still not sure why
But she pulled up to me, she said 'lets go for a ride'
All I could do was just hang on and smile
In that cold machine
Make a jealous man out of Steve McQueen
In that cold machine
My baby's ride is a cold machine
It was a cold machine
Cruisin' round listenin to 'Maybellene'
In that cold machine
My baby's ride is a cold machine
Well my baby's machine
Ya know its fast standin still
Siittin there beside 'er man it gave me a thrill
In a pefect combination of beauty and speed
Gonna roll down this road
We're gonna see where it leads
In that cold machine
Make a jealous man out of Steve McQueen
In that cold machine
My baby's ride is a cold machine
It was a cold machine
Just hang on and smile if you know what I mean
In that cold machine
My baby's ride is a cold machine...

Don't Blame Me For Your Weakness - © 2011 Ernest Benoit
Don't blame me for your weakness
Don't blame me for the things that you have done
Don't blame me for your weakness
Spit at the face in the mirror
When you need to point your finger at someone
Next time you feel the need to blame someone
I'ts not my fault you took that drink
It's not my fault you swallowed those pills
It's not my fault you live for this vice
It's not my fault you ruined your life
Don't blame me for your weakness
Don't blame me for the things that you have done
Don't blame me for your weakness
Spit at the face in the mirror when you need to point your finger at someone
I whispered in your ear, gave your some advice
Never said to pull the trigger
Now you pay the price
Just remember who was there
Leading you along
You were puny, you were weak
While I, I was strong
Doin what needed bein done...
And now you feel the need to blame someone
The urgent need to blame someone
Don't blame me for your weakness
Don't blame me for the things that you have done
Don't blame me for your weakness
Spit at the face in the mirror
When you need to point your finger at someone

Don't Be That Guy

Don't Be That Guy - © 2007 Ernest Benoit
Close the gate
Still not to late..
Smell the fumes
Spell your doom
Suicide - is for the weak
Suicide - You need to think
Suicide - You wanna die?
Suicide - Don't be that guy
Suicide is for the weak
Fucking suck it up
And don't do that thing
Well they say the dead
All have a story to tell
Maybe I'll get to hear yours
When I see you in Hell
Till then we're gathered here
All dressed in black
Don't make a choice
That you can't take back
Don't be that guy
So you left us standing here in pain
Wondering why you took the selfish way
Well here's another rose upon your grave
All I can say is what a fuckin waste
Don't be that guy

Golden Handcuffs - © 2008 Ernest Benoit
Well I sit in this cube
While my life ticks away
Don't really like it
But I got bills to pay
The 'benies are good
And the money's ok
It's those Golden Handcuffs..
Put 'em on every day
Well you know I shouldn't
Bitch and moan
I've got a Wife and Kids
And a place they call home
So I sacrifice another day
Gimme a hug and send me on my way
Another 10 hours of life
I give away
So they'll have food on their table
And a safe place to play
Give me those Golden Handcuffs
Put 'em on every day..
Cuz for guys like us
There's no other way
Yeah it's all for them
That we bear this weight
Of these Golden Handcuffs
Put 'em on every day..
Gimme my Golden Handcuffs
Put 'em on every day

In the Summertime - © 2008 Ernest Benoit
Waves are crashin' that hot white sand
My Kids are playing in the surf
My Woman's workin' on her tan
I'm kickin' back in this chair with no particular plans
Oh summertime rules
I'm a happy man
You can't touch me here where the water meets the land
My only concern's the next cold one in my hand
What's the day of the week?
I can't reliably say
I don't know the time
My watch is put away
Time to fire up the grill?
Yea that sounds pretty ok
Oh summer days
I'm a care free guy
I'm just layin' on my back
Starin' up at the sky
I got no worries and I am feelin fine
In the summertime
Waves are crashin' that hot white sand
My Kids are playing in the surf
My Woman's workin' on her tan
I'm kickin' back in this chair with no particular plans
Whoa summertime rules
I'm a happy man
You can't touch me here where the water meets the land
My only concern's the next cold one in my hand

Problems and Solutions - © 2010 Ernest Benoit
Don't ask me how I'm doin'
Unless you've got a little time to kill
Cuz I'm in goddam therapy
And my Wife's on fuckin crazy pills
Dont ask me how I'm doin'
Cuz you don't want to know
Unless you got some of that magic brown liquid
and about an hour or so
I'm goddam broke
and I get deeper each day
And my Wife's been sick for weeks
I get no answers when I pray
And it seems like every day's a struggle
Just to make it through to the end
But don't think just cause I'm complainin'
That I'm ever givin' in
I'm gonna pull myself up out of this rut
I'm takin' my Wife along too
And if you don't think that we can do it
Well then I've got a few choice words for you
'Cause I made a promise for better or worse
And that's a promise I intend to follow through
Cause the inscription in my ring reads 'I Will Love You Always'
And that's just what I'm gonna do
The inscription in my ring reads 'I Will Love You Always'
And that's just what I'm gonna do

Someone I Used to Know - © 2007 Ernest Benoit
Well I used to have friends
Like 10 times 10
Where are they now?
Did I grow up or did I grow old?
Maybe I just left town
Well life's too short
And time moves on
I'm through with waiting
Yeah I've grown older
And I've moved along
Am I the man you knew?
I guess you'll never know
Cuz you're someone
I used to know
Back in the Day
Time to let go
Time to move forward
It's time to grow
You're just someone I used to know
You're just someone
I used to know
Back in the Day
Time I let go
Time to move forward
It's time to grow
You're just someone I used to know
You're just someone I used to know

The Days Are Getting Longer - © 2011 Ernest Benoit
The days are getting longer
The Darkness is behind
I'm finally feeling peaceful
There's clarity in my mind
I've made it through some hard days
I turned my back on anger and strife
Today the days are getting longer
And we're together, you and I
The days are getting longer
We're together on this ride
No more shrouds and silence
I've got nothing to hide
These eyes are looking forward
I think I've finally hit my stride
The days are getting longer
And I've got you by my side
No one knows what lies ahead, beyond the next sunrise
But I'll take life's blows..
It might not show but I've got a damn tough hide
Some say good things never last
But our Love will survive
Today the days start getting longer
As we walk this road of life

The Rock Song - © 2009 Ernest Benoit
Well it's Friday night
And it's Beer O'Clock
Time to head into town
It's time to walk the walk
Turn those lights down low
And pour me a shot
'Cause the Action Is Go
And I'm ready to rock
So lets rock
Lets rock
Well I got a sweet ride
It's all low, bad and black
I'm gonna tear outta here
And I ain't looking back
Cause it's Friday Night
And it's Beer O'Clock
I've been waitin' all week
And now its time to rock
So lets rock
Let's rock
Well it's Friday night
And it's Beer O'Clock
Time to head into town
It's time to walk the walk
Turn those lights down low
And pour me a shot
'Cause the Action Is Go
And I'm ready to rock
So let's rock

Come the Sun

Come The Sun - © 1990 William Crago, Michael Sears, Ernest Benoit
Drifting out of time
Flowering dream of love
Now, come the Sun
You could be with me
In another place
Where we could be
Lost without a trace
Summer of life
You're all that I can touch
But now
Come the Sun
You could be with me
In another place
Where we could be
Lost without a trace
I love you and I
Somehow rise above
But for now, come the Sun
Come the Sun
You could be with me
In another place
Where we could be
Lost without a trace
